Meeting with me

I would be glad to meet with you via Zoom to discuss course concepts, topics, and methods as well as to speak with you about college or life, in general. I am available to meet with you during student hours and prearranged appointments; consult my schedule and contact me using your FSU email address in order to set up an appointment.

Regular student hours are conducted on campus as listed below.  Appointments are not necessary for student hours --  just come.

  • Thursdays  10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in Hemenway Hall 402B

  • Fridays  10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in Hemenway Hall 402B

I enjoy working with my students, helping students with their coursework, and guiding students to understand course material. Questions are always welcome:  asking questions helps you to learnThere is no such thing as a stupid question!  All questions are important.

Tutoring

The Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) provides tutoring in mathematics and writing, and subject tutoring in areas such as accounting, biology, chemistry, computer science, earth science and physics, food and nutrition, business and economics, geography, history, logic, philosophy, research methods/SPSS for sociology and psychology, and Spanish. The schedules for tutoring in math and writing are posted on the Tutoring page of the CASA website.  Subject tutors, students with junior or senior standing who are recommended by faculty to work as tutors, are hired based on need. Contact Ally Chisholm, Academic Success Coordinator (achisholm@framingham.edu, 508-215-5830) if you wish to request a subject tutor.

The Mathematics Department provides peer tutoring in Hemenway Hall 402 most days, Monday through Friday, between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM.  Check the schedule outside the door for more details.

Academic Strategy Peer Tutors (ASPTs) work one-on-one with students throughout the semester to guide them through the transition from high school to college. ASPTs, who serve as academic mentors and role models, work with students to help them develop strategies for time management and test taking as well as study skills and note-taking skills. If you would like to meet with an ASPT, contact Ally Chisholm, Academic Success Coordinator (achisholm@framingham.edu, 508-215-5830).

Online tutoring is available to all Framingham State University students through a collaborative relationship with ThinkingStorm.  Via the ThinkingStorm page on Canvas, you may
